Welcome to Recipes Ashley, a place for cheap, easy meals made for two people.
My name is Ashley. I have been cooking at home as a hobby since 2020, and in 2026 I started Recipes Ashley with a simple goal: to help people enjoy cooking while spending less. Most recipes online are written to feed a family of four or six. If you cook for just two, you end up halving everything, guessing at pan sizes, and throwing away leftovers you never wanted. This site is built to fix that.
What You’ll Find Here
- Classic comfort food, sized for two: lasagna, meatloaf, pot pie, and other favorites scaled down properly, not just cut in half.
- Budget dinners for two: easy meals built around affordable ingredients you can find at any grocery store.
- The right pan and the right amount: every recipe names the pan size and yield, so two people get a proper meal without a fridge full of extras.
- Less food waste: ideas for using up half an onion, leftover rice, or the rest of a rotisserie chicken.
- Small-batch desserts: cookies, brownies, and cakes that make just enough.
About Recipe Costs
When I have checked real prices for a recipe, it shows an estimated cost, along with the store and the date the prices were checked, so you know how fresh the numbers are. Prices change by region and season, so treat any cost as a helpful guide rather than an exact receipt. Recipes without checked prices simply don’t show a cost, because I would rather show no number than a made-up one.
Who This Site Is For
Couples, empty nesters, roommates, and anyone tired of scaling down family-size recipes. If you want a good homemade dinner for two without a big grocery bill or a fridge full of leftovers, you’re in the right place.
You can browse everything on the recipes page, and if you have a question or a recipe you’d like to see sized for two, feel free to get in touch.
Thank you for visiting. Happy cooking!
