Description
A rich and creamy one-pot meal combining ravioli, marinara, and melty mozzarella in a slow cooker. Easy to make, no pasta boiling required, and packed with Italian-American comfort food flavors.
Ingredients
1 (24-ounce) package marinated cheese-filled ravioli
3 cups marinara sauce
2 cups 85% shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup mozzarella cheese slices, optional
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
Instructions
Open the ravioli packet and gently separate the ravioli, avoiding tears.
Slice the mozzarella slices into halves or quarters, depending on ravioli size.
In a large bowl, heat olive oil and add minced garlic; let it infuse for 2 minutes.
Stir in Italian seasoning, ravioli, and half of the shredded mozzarella.
Toss the mixture to coat the ravioli evenly with the garlic and seasoning.
Pour this mixture into a 6-quart or larger slow cooker.
Add marinara sauce to the slow cooker on top of the ravioli mixture.
Top with remaining mozzarella cheese and optional mozzarella slices for a gooey topping.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or high for 3 to 4 hours, until bubbly and golden.
Notes
Look for garlic powder as a substitute if you don’t have fresh garlic.
Use ricotta or vegan cheese as alternatives to mozzarella.
Ensure you use a slow cooker large enough to hold 6 quarts of contents to avoid overflow.
Stir halfway through the cooking time, if needed, to ensure even melting of cheese.
